At our college, we are proud to offer a well-functional Livestock Farm Complex (LFC) within our campus premises. This facility serves as an essential component of our animal management practices, providing students and teachers with valuable hands-on experience in the care and handling of both large and small animals, including sheep, goats, pigs, and poultry.The LFC comprises several units dedicated to dairy, buffalo, sheep, goat, piggery, poultry, and fodder production. These units serve multiple objectives, functioning as instructional farms and maintaining elite flocks of Murrah buffalo, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and turkeys. Scientific management practices are implemented, focusing on breeding, feeding, and housing to improve the overall productivity and reproductive performance of the animals.
In addition, the LFC includes a dedicated fodder production unit. This unit serves as an instructional farm, focusing on the production of high-quality fodder for livestock feeding. The integration of fodder production within the LFC allows students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire livestock farming process.As part of their curriculum, all students have the opportunity to engage with and receive hands-on training in all constituent units of the LFC. This immersive approach enables them to develop practical skills, learn about various aspects of livestock farming, and gain valuable insights into fodder production.

The Livestock Production Management department aims to enhance animal and product productivity through sound farm management practices. Our focus is on teaching, research, and extension activities. Our instructional farm houses diverse livestock species and breeds, offering students practical exposure. A dedicated open area facilitates student demonstrations within the farm complex. The Veterinary Anatomy Department acquaints students with animal form and structure, laying the groundwork for disciplines like Gynaecology and Surgery. We emphasize basic concepts in veterinary anatomy, histology, embryogenesis, and organogenesis. Our facilities include a well-equipped gross anatomy demo hall and a dissection hall. An embalming room stores dissected specimens, articulated skeletons, and disarticulated skeletons of livestock species, ensuring their preservation for educational purposes. Together, we nurture foundational knowledge, enabling students to excel in veterinary sciences' future frontiers.
Department of Veterinary Clinical Complex serves the need of remedies of all animals including wild animals, diagnosis of diseases, clinical teaching and various veterinary extension activities. Average 2,500 clinical cases of various animal species in Medicine, Gynaecology, Surgery and the pet animal section are provided treatment and about 1,000 samples have been examined in diagnostic laboratory annually. Furthermore, VCC will provide clinical teaching programme to impart the need based practical training in animal health to the undergraduate students.
Our department conducts mammalian and avian haematology, climatology, and biochemical analysis research. We actively contribute to academic, institutional, and capacity-building activities. Facilities include Haematological Analyzer, Spectrophotometer, Viscometer, Urinometer, Meteorological instruments, Flame Photometer, Paper Chromatography system, Fume hood, and Blood Chemistry Analyzer.
